By Sheila Dollarsby

Kodak Gallery is, however, the best place to do your online photo storing and sharing due not only to its great privacy settings, but aslo to its ability to allow you to custom create your own projects. The following is a list of the top five reasons you should be utilizing Kodak Gallery.

1. No Sign-In Required for Viewing With some sites, Grandma will need to register and sign in just to see your photos. While that's okay if Grandma is already a member, it can get cumbersome when you send links to your pictures to larger groups. Instead with Kodak Gallery you simply send a link, and others can view your pictures without going through any extra steps.

2. Easy Access to Personalized Products Part of what makes Kodak Gallery so much fun is all the cool things you can do with your photos. Besides the obvious printing of your photos, you can create calendars, photo books, invitations, greeting cards, mugs, t-shirts, canvas prints, aprons, and so much more. Kodak Gallery gives you the freedom and space to be creative so that you can enjoy your photos the way that you want.

3. Ability to Set Access Restraints While you may want to share some of your photos of your recent trip to Europe with your family, you may not want them to see those pictures of your making out with a hot local, swimming nude at the beach, or taking shots at a bar. With that in mind, Kodak Gallery gives you the option of setting restrictions on who can view your photos. That way the ones you want to keep private can remain that way.

4. The Easiest Uploading Ever Kodak Gallery has made uploading photos and sharing them extremely simple and easy. There are several software options available for FREE download on KodakGallery.com. These options don't take long to install and are compatible with most computers regardless of age, speed, or make. In addition, Kodak Gallery makes the process fast so that you can download over 100 photos at once with just one click.

5. Convenient Prints Ordering One of the absolute best features of the Kodak Gallery is that you can order prints right from your log-in page. The top menu includes an "order prints" button, and you can get the prints with only a few touches of your mouse. Ordering prints is something that can be time-consuming on some sites because you need to move pictures around into special folders or get prints when you first upload them. That simply isn't the case with Kodak Gallery; ordering prints are just as quick as dropping off your film used to be.

These reasons are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to using Kodak Gallery. As you poke around the site, you will find other reasons that this site works well for many users. Try it out the next time you need to upload pictures and see if you're impressed with the site's convenience and ease.

?Beginners Guide To Guitar Scales - How To Play Guitar

By Walsh Davis

You should know the few basics about the guitar, and the basic step in is the understanding of notes that is the basis of music. The next step is to have knowledge about scales. The problem is that when some people are introduced with scales for the first time, and they are being asked to play variations of these musical scales, it can become a discouraging task. In this article we are going to search some of the reasons for the existence of scales, and why we focus on them so greatly.

What are Musical Scales? A Technical View

We can make music out of 12 possible notes because we have only 12 possible notes. Western music has produced such rules which describe how and when you can apply these tones together. Although this is just convention, but by applying these rules you will instantly notice that something is wrong or different instead of hearing the several common musical scales you hear usually when you do not utilize these rules. No proper information is written in stone about the way these things are planned, but we are all so used to hearing music from an early age that contains these rules that we don't even think about the alternatives until we start to study musical theory in depth.

If you desire to play western style music and be a master guitarist, you are in need to understand these rules. A noteworthy part of these principles and conventions is the musical scales we use.

What is a scale? It is fundamentally a sequence of notes, picked out from the 12 available, that work out together to give an effect to the music. You can describe individual scales in a better way as a list of gaps between the notes. Half notes or Whole notes are denoted by the term Tone or Semitone which give the rule of using their basic letters, T and S.

Some people utilise Half and Whole (W, H) to denote the gaps, and other manner is to list the number of semitones (1 or 2). Either way is taken, these three are same or all impart the gaps for the leading scale:

1. T T S T T T S 2. W W H W W W H 3. 2 2 1 2 2 2 1

Let us see, how this works. Pick up a scale at random - G# major. This step states two things. First, our root note is G#. Second, we will be utilizing the Major scale formula to work out the notes.

Therefore, we start with our G# note, and add the basic step of the rule which is a T, meaning a Tone. Thus, starting with G # and moving up a tone or two half notes puts us onto A#:

G# + T = A#

Next, we start with A#, and look at the next alphabetic character in the rule - its a Tone once again, so we add 2 half notes to A#, to give us a C:

A# + T = C

Next, we start with a C and find out the formula - now it is a semitone, which takes us to C#:

C + S = C#

If we carry on with this we get the following:

C# + T = D# D# + T = F (remember nothing is like an E#) F + T = G G + S = G#

Thus, we have built our scale of G# major according to our major scale pattern to get the notes:

G# A# C C# D# F G

Mostly, the scales we use have 7 notes in them but that is not an important rule. For example, the minor pentatonic scale only has 5 notes in it (its formula is 3 2 2 3 2 - I used numbers here instead of T and S because it has a couple of Tone and a half leaps, which is 3 half notes, and that is more easily written down as a 3 instead of something like "T + 1/2", but it all signifies the same thing). Some scales have more notes, for example the chromatic musical scale has all 12 notes in it.

Thus in this way the scales act! The formula depicts them and we pick whichever root note we desire to construct. The next step is to convert these notes into a formula so that we can play it.

How To Get Unique Wedding Photography

By Randolph Quan

Not all wedding photos need to look the same (though after you've looked through the gallery of the umpteenth wedding photographer, it might seem like it).

You can get unique wedding photography by 1) choosing the right photographer and 2) making sure your voice is heard by that photographer.

The first tenet is vital, though admittedly less important than the second. The thing is, there's a bit of a catch here: Your voice probably won't be heard if you don't choose the right person that will give you the type of unique wedding photography you want. So how do you find the perfect, unique photographer for you?

Research! It can't be said enough - the only way you're going to find the right photographer is by weeding through the hundreds (or even thousands, depending on where you live) of photographers offering their services in your area. Finding the person with the right style and flair takes a little bit of work. Search through online galleries and ask for referrals both online and from friends or colleagues.

Once you've narrowed it down to a few choices, meet with them in person. Bring your fiance along and see how the three of you click. The end results will be a lot better if everyone is comfortable with each other. During your in-person meeting, ask the photographer how much input the couple has in selecting where and how photos are taken. This will establish right off the bat that you have a desire for unique wedding photographs that you had some say in.

A lot of unique wedding photography is special because there are special effects added either while shooting (special lenses or settings) or during the editing process (Photoshop is a blessing!) If this might be something you desire, inquire about their knowledge of such techniques and ask to see samples. Remember that too many special effects can be overkill and you'll want some regular shots, too, so your photographer should be skilled in both.

Once you've selected a photographer, don't be afraid to let him or her know what you want! Many couples have unique interests or backgrounds that should be highlighted in the photography of their big day. For example, if you two have a passion for motorcycles, ask for a shot of the two of you dressed in your wedding best on the back of your bike. Now there's a unique wedding photo you don't see every day! From props to locations, there's plenty of ways to capture weddings uniquely.

Many brides are afraid to speak up because they assume their photographer knows best. Assuredly, your photographer knows what they're doing - they went professional for a reason. But don't hesitate to let your voice be heard in order to get the unique wedding photography you want.

Moog And Digital Synthesizers

By Charlie Michaels

The creation of the musical synthesizer transformed the sound enjoyment all around the world. An entertainer who wished to reproduce a certain type of sound before a live audience had to depend on conventional recordings. Nowadays, that can be done and produced live giving the performer a choice of thousands of sounds, notes and frequencies at his fingertips.

A synthesizer is a machine that gives a musician far more control over the sound of the music. A synthesizer will have frequency generators that can generate specific frequencies.

Musicians who want to add a car horn sound effect to their music no longer have do to it by playing an audio tape; they can produce it with their synthesizers at the push of a button. Also unlike audio tapes, synthesizers can effortlessly produce sounds simultaneously such as a horn honk and a bird call.

The first synthesizers ever made were the analog synthesizers, breaking ground as early as 1876 by telephone prototype inventor Elisha Gray. Gray invented the first controllable single note oscillator when he discovered by mishap a self-vibrating electromagnetic circuit during his telephone experiments. Though the invention never broke into mainstream popularity, his "musical telegraph" could transport sounds via steel reeds through a telephone line, and set a milestone for others to follow.

Robert Moog, a brilliant scientist with a doctorate in engineering physics, greatly improved upon the synthesizer in the mid 1900s. He spent his entire career developing electronic music devices and, for that, he is widely known today as the father of the modern synthesizer.

Moog synthesizers have the capability of producing the sounds of a wide variety of traditional musical instruments, such as guitars, keyboards, horns, and drums. The Moog device uses piano as its controller.

Some of the first synthesizers were big and bulky and not very easy to move around. The design Moog came up with, along with ever-changing technology, paved the course for tinier and easy to carry devices. These tinier products make more sense for entertaining, especially if they have to be moved around. The synthesizers made today are extremely complicated units. They are made using computer chips and mother boards and use computer technology. The units are small and mostly self-sufficient, somewhat like computers now mad, and are moved about with ease.

A keyboard synthesizer is a piano alternative that creates sound through electrical currents which is still common among musicians. A software synthesizer, common among musicians, also known as a softsynth or virtual instrument is a computer program for digit audio generation. Saxophone-style synthesizer is also being used.
