Timeless Drive-In Shows Are Enjoyable

By Fred Kelly

Drive-in movies are great family fun. The time spent is so fantastic. In the summertime, there is nothing like it.

Drive-ins are less costly to attend than traditional movie theaters. One thing that I appreciate is the fact that they offer double features. Most drive-ins present double features. It helps save money to the viewer and also will give them a long evening out at the pictures. A double feature indicates everybody in your car will be able to see 2 flicks instead of only one.

You can either view the flick from the ease and comfort of your car or truck, or even bring the folding chairs or quilts and sit down outside under the stars to enjoy the evening entertainment. Old-fashioned drive-in theaters are not as prevalent anymore, so if you are close enough to one to watch a weekly show, then you certainly should feel blessed.

You will also in all likelihood listen to the movie over the radio, so do not neglect to bring your portable radio if you plan to be outside. There is a whole lot more freedom to have interaction at the movie without feeling monitored or just being told to shut-up like at the indoor ones.

For a lot of people, taking pleasure in a night at the outdoor movies takes them back to a much less complicated time. It is terrific to enjoy with family members or a sweetheart.

A whole lot of folks bring in their own treats, I know that I do. The concession is often very expensive, but if you just don't wish to worry about carrying your own treats, it is good for the drive-in's bottom line and it can also be a scrumptious treat. Snacks make the show fun, however try to get them before the movie begins.

The "good-old days" is what the majority of drive-in movie-goers want to experience. As a youth, going on a date at the drive-in meant for steamy windows and not much movie watching. With contemporary multiplex movie theatres taking over the marketplace, it is a pity that the drive-in is becoming less common.

By and large, try to look for a local drive-in if you have never been to one. It is worth the price of admission, whether it is family or a date. You'll be happy you did!

Five Easy Guitar Songs Anyone Can Play Acoustically

By Emma Madison

When you want to be taught the acoustic guitar, you're in for a rare treat, and the same holds true for your audience. Many who commence to learn how to play don't comprehend how many trendy songs on the radio only use a few chords. You will find very popular songs out there today which are extremely easy to learn. To show you some examples, here are a handful of easy guitar songs you can actually learn.

1. For What It's Worth This song comes from Buffalo Springfield, and was originally played in '67. Most of this song makes use of E and A chords, but then chords C and D are played during the chorus. This song is not very complicated to play, and there are all sorts of instructions all over the internet telling you how to play it.

2. Knockin' on Heaven's Door It can seem incredible at first blush, however this Bob Dylan (no, it wasn't Guns 'n Roses!) song is also effortless to play. You can use good YouTube's on how to play this track, and when to play the chords and even covering how long you are going to hold each note.

3. Redemption The third on the record of acoustic easy guitar songs is Bob Marley's tour de force, "Redemption." This can be a little bit more complex to play the way it uses more chords than the foregoing two songs, but are still inside the essential chord range and can be learned from that standpoint. This song makes use of Am, Em, G, D in addition to C chords. It may seem more complex, but it is a good beginner's entrance to guitar.

4. Wish You Were Here Pink Floyd made the song, "Wish You Were Here" renowned back in their time. There is certainly, again, a variety of chords used in this song, but since they are spread out a bit, you have enough time to get your fingers in position. Wish You Were Here uses the following chords: A, Am, D, G, Em and C. This again is a very classic (modern) song, easy to play and with amazing results if you want to show your family and friends that you're able to play guitar.

5. Time of Your Life The final of the easy guitar songs that you can play unplugged is called Time of Your Life, made legendary by the popular alternative band Green Day. This song is pretty repetitive, you'll find. As a consequence of that, it is easy to play (you even play a note 9 times over at one juncture). It could sound basic, but it's a piece of art. This track will show you the G, D, C and Em chords.

Today, autograph collecting has become a major industry with many upstanding dealers. Sasha and Sadies Celebrity Autographs sells signed political and historical documents, celebrity autographs, signed sports memorabilia and much more.

Ancient Latin and Greek cultures were the first to start collecting autographs. They revered the handwritten manuscripts of their most esteemed poets and philosophers. These manuscripts were collected and the first libraries were created.

In the 1400's it became popular for upper class Europeans to carry "friend books." These were books with the autographs of your friends to show who you knew. The more prestigious or famous friends you had the more you were respected.

Starting in the 19th century, growing media outlets created the modern concept of celebrity. Their worldwide influence and notoriety made celebrity autographs highly sought after and very valuable to collectors.

The Greatest Phillip Seymour Hoffman Films Up To This Point

By Benjamin Jordan

Any time you are going to talk about actors based on talent, one person who should be thrown into the discussion is Philip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman is a classically trained theater actor, and I think that shows; his poise and versatility are amazing things to watch.

This article will discuss some of the best Philip Seymour Hoffman movies and roles up to this point in his career.

One film that must be discussed when talking about Philip Seymour Hoffman movies is Boogie Nights. This is a rather peculiar role for Hoffman, but the man still manages to give a great performance. There is one scene he is involved in, which is uncomfortable, to say the least.

Another great film featuring the great Philip Seymour Hoffman is Twister. Again, this is not a leading role for Hoffman, but you cannot deny that he knows how to choose a role and does not simply jump at the gun to act in any movie. I haven't seen this movie in quite some time, but I still remember how amazing the special effects looked in theaters.

If you have yet to see Doubt, then you are missing out on some amazing acting. Any time you put Meryl Streep and Philip Hoffman together the result is going to be great. It came as no surprise that both of them were nominated for Academy Awards for this film.

If you like Spike Lee movies, then one movie worth checking out is 25th Hour. In fact, this might be my favorite Spike Lee movie of all. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a conflicted teacher in this dramatic film.

One other film that I feel the need to discuss is the movie that nabbed him an Academy Award for Best Actor In A Lead Role, and that was of course the movie Capote. Hoffman played the part of Truman Capote as no one else could.

Hopefully there are one or more Philip Seymour Hoffman films on this list which you have not yet seen. Get familiar with this incredible actor, because he will be around for years to come.
