Some Important Considerations Before Engaging A Corporate Photographer

By Lance Walter

Corporate photography is a subset of the greater discipline of commercial photography. Nevertheless, it is a demanding art with its own nuances.

There are many aspects that distinguish other types of commercial photography from corporate photography. In other types of photography, the photographer has the privilege of conducting retakes until he gets the right angle to shoot the ideal picture, but corporate photography is essentially a hit-or-miss business. Hence a seasoned and able corporate photographer needs to be called in for the purpose.

Corporate events can have changes in event schedules and the photographer has to be prepared for the surprises. He should know how to analyse rationally and sensibly so that he can act without delay. A relaxed photographer having low levels of attentiveness and knowledge of what is going on around him cannot succeed as a corporate photographer.

An important element of corporate photography is headshots of all the high-ranking attendees. These headshots might be used for the company's archives or for distribution in the media. The photographer must therefore be skilled in this task.

The mere reputation of a photographer does not certify his competence in corporate photography. A popular wedding photographer might think that managing a corporate event is simple, but he could very easily embarrass himself. Marriages usually have a clearly defined series of customary rites, so a photographer can ease himself and keep a tab on the proceedings by following the sequence. In corporate photography, events happen without any warning and alertness is critical. Therefore, an experienced corporate photographer is best suited for the task

There are many business needs associated with corporate photography and the above mentioned tips would enable you to hire a truly professional corporate photographer. But before engaging a corporate photographer, you must always remember to have a look at his portfolio to make sure of his claims.

Tips For Your Wedding Event

By Jude Smith

When you are planning your wedding you are going to want to find an event photographer. You will want them to possess a few qualities such as style, motivation, experience and good communication. An excellent event photographer will only posses these qualities through experience, so make sure that they are well trained and can focus on what you want is important.

Every event photographer will have their own style. You will want to make sure that your ideas about your wedding will coincide with their style. Otherwise you might end up having a horrible experience. Every event photographer will have a different style. Traditional and wild are two extreme styles of photographers. Traditional pictures will consist of those of the bride herself, the groom himself, the bride and groom together, the wedding party, and everyone all together. Wild styles can be anywhere from being completely serious in all of the pictures to making funny faces.

When choosing an event photographer you will want one who is highly motivated. You do not want to have someone who is inactive and sitting around missing all the good pictures they could be capturing. Motivation is not just about wanting to do the job, but finding a way to enjoy it and bring trust as well as good verbal communication to everyone as well.

Experience can only come to an event photographer over time. In some cases you should ask questions such as where they were previously employed and for how long. This should help you when making a clear decision on an event photographer. Ask their previous employer what kind of work they produced if they are now in business for themselves. Its better to find out now even if it is kind of a sneaky way of getting the information.

Being relaxed around your event photographer will make things go smoother. And they should try to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when around them. This will help them in capturing the precious photos later on at your wedding. You will see the emotion in the wedding pictures if you are nervous around your event photographer.

Your Special Day - Getting The Photography Right

By Bruce Wong

The two most important people on a wedding day are, certainly the wedding couple. To get some excellent portraits, the photographer should seclude the wedding couple from the celebration for a while to capture the intimate moments after the ceremony. This will give the wedding couple some time away from the wedding as well.

Ideally, the photographer would be required to spend a casual amount of quality time with the bride and the groom during the portrait session. On the wedding day it doesn't always happen because it is rare to have time on the actual day of the wedding. The time taken for pictures can well vary from an hour to no time at all. It can take up to an hour for the photographer to take the pictures.

The photographer will require some time with the bride and groom, but when is a good time?

Since the couple will still look fresh, most photographers believe that the window before the reception is suitable for the portraits.

Sometimes the bride and groom would want to start the portrait shoot even before the ceremony says Bradley Hanson, award winning photographer. When the bride is getting ready is when he usually starts photographing.

Right after the newly-weds have exchanged vows is a great time for some photographers to have their portraits done, since they are still fill with all of the emotions.

For the perfect actual day session to begin, the newly-weds should set aside some time to spend with the photographer. They should find ways to politely lose the relatives and guests to acquire the beautiful moments, so that they can be cherished for a lifetime.

A good portrait session on the actual day can be ruined by too many people trying to photograph the newly-weds. So the couple isn't distracted by anyone the photographer will choose to have the couple alone.

According to award winning photographer Shawna Herring, most newly-weds start feeling uncomfortable before the camera when the portrait session is about to start. To help the couple forget the camera is there, the experienced photographer will try talking to the couple about things other then the portrait shoot.

It is also recommended to choose a day before or after the wedding for the photo shoot and go with the photographer to a different location. To have a good relationship with the photographer this really seems to help loosen them up. In a short time, the couple may even forget the existence of the camera.

There are thousands of reasons why the photographer might not achieve time alone with the wedding couple. Working together with the bride and groom will help to achieve the creative portrait session.

Database Study Around The UK Described

By Jason Kendall

What could a trainee searching for certified training from Microsoft expect to come across? Undoubtedly, companies should give access to a range of different options that cover the portfolio of training tracks certified by Microsoft.

You may wish to review all your options with an advisor who is on familiar terms with the commercial demands for IT staff, and can influence your choice of the most fruitful career to match your character.

When you've chosen the area you want to get into, your next search is for a relevant course personalised to be right for your current level of knowledge and ability. Your study program should more than match your expectations.

Think about the facts below and pay great regard to them if you're inclined to think that old marketing ploy of an 'Exam Guarantee' sounds great value:

Thankfully, today we have to be a bit more aware of hype - and usually we grasp that it is something we're paying for - it's not because they're so generous they want to give something away!

Qualifying on the first 'go' is what everyone wants to do. Going for exams one by one and paying as you go puts you in a much stronger position to qualify at the first attempt - you take it seriously and are conscious of what you've spent.

Sit the exam somewhere close to home and look for the very best offer you can at the time.

Is there a good reason to pay interest on a bigger loan than is necessary because you've paid early for examinations when you didn't need to? Huge profits are made by companies getting paid upfront for exams - and then cashing in when they're not all taken.

Additionally, many exam guarantees are worthless. The majority of companies won't be prepared to pay again for an exam until you can prove to them you're ready to pass.

With average prices for VUE and Pro-metric tests in the United Kingdom costing around 112 pounds, by far the best option is to pay for them as you take them. There's no sense in throwing away maybe a thousand pounds extra at the start of your studies. Commitment, effort and practice with quality exam preparation systems are the factors that really get you through.

Searching for your first position in IT can be a little easier if you're offered a Job Placement Assistance service. It can happen though that too much is made of this feature, as it's really not that difficult for well qualified and focused men and women to secure a job in the IT environment - because companies everywhere are seeking trained staff.

Update your CV at the beginning of your training though (advice and support for this should come from your course provider). Don't delay until you've qualified.

You'll often find that you'll land your first position whilst you're still studying (even in the early stages). If your course details aren't on your CV - or it's not getting in front of interviewers, then you aren't even in the running!

If you'd like to keep travelling time and costs to a minimum, then it's quite likely that an independent and specialised local employment service might be of more use than a centralised service, as they're far more likely to have insider knowledge of the local job scene.

Many men and women, apparently, put a great deal of effort into their studies (for years sometimes), and then just stop instead of attempting to secure a job. Market yourself... Make an effort to put yourself out there. Don't think a job's just going to jump out in front of you.

There are colossal changes about to hit technology over the next few decades - and it only gets more exciting every day.

Computer technology and communication on the internet is going to spectacularly shape the direction of our lives in the future; to a vast degree.

Let's not ignore salaries also - the income on average in Great Britain for a typical man or woman in IT is noticeably more than in the rest of the economy. It's a good bet that you'll earn a whole lot more than you could reasonably hope to get in other industries.

The good news is there's not a hint of a downturn for IT expansion in Great Britain as a whole. The market continues to grow enormously, and with the skills shortage of over 26 percent that we're experiencing, it's not likely that it will even slow down for a good while yet.

How the program is actually delivered to you is usually ignored by most students. In what way are your training elements sectioned? What is the specific order and do you have a say in when you'll get each part?

Usually, you'll enrol on a course requiring 1-3 years study and receive a module at a time. While this may sound logical on one level, consider this:

What would happen if you didn't finish every module within the time limits imposed? Often the prescribed exam order doesn't come as naturally as some other order of studying might.

To avoid any potential future issues, it's normal for most trainees to insist that all study materials are posted to them in one go, with nothing held back. It's then your own choice how fast or slow and in what order you'd like to take your exams.

G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra - The Most Awaited Movie of The Year.

By Saisha Jones

Were you anticipating yet another G.I JOE movie with all the action & the adventure? Have you been a G.I JOE fan all along?

You will be happy to know that the most awaited film of the year is back with a bang. Directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing), G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra stars an interesting young cast including Sienna Miller (Factory Girl), Channing Tatum (Public Enemies), Joseph Gordon-Levitt ((500) Days of Summer), Marlon Wayans (Dance Flick), Rachel Nichols ("Alias") and Ray Park (X-Men) as well as veteran actors Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point) and Christopher Eccleston (Gone in Sixty Seconds).

The filming of the movie took place in Downey, California and Prague's Barrandov Studios, and six different companies handled the visual effects. G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a 2009 American live-action film adaptation of the G.I. Joe toy franchise, the story follows two American soldiers, Duke and Ripcord, who join the G.I. Joe Team after being attacked by MARS troops.

In the beginning of the plot of the movie the Scotsman Klan McCullen is accused of selling weaponry to both the Scots and French. Rather than being executed for treason, the jury brands his face with a white-hot mask in order to humiliate him. A nanotechnology-based weapon capable of destroying an entire city is created by weapons expert James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston) in the near future. His company MARS sells four warheads to NATO, and the U.S. Army is tasked with delivering the warheads. Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are delivering the warheads when they are ambushed by the Baroness (Sienna Miller), who Duke recognized to be his ex-fiance Ana Lewis. Duke and Ripcord are rescued by Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). The warheads are taken to The Pit, G.I. Joe's command center in North Africa, and upon arriving rendezvous with General Hawk (Dennis Quaid), the head of the G.I. Joe Team. Hawk takes command of the war-heads and excuses Duke and Ripcord, only to be convinced to have them join his group after it is revealed that Duke & Baroness know each other.

Armed with the coolest hi-tech gadgets and weapons, including jaw-dropping accelerator and camouflage suits, G.I. JOE is the last line of defense against those intent on world domination. The G.I. Joe team travels the world from the Egyptian desert to the polar ice caps and the streets of Paris in a high stakes pursuit of COBRA, an evil international organization threatening to use a technology that could bring the world to its knees.

The filming of this movie began on February 11, 2008, in Los Angeles, California. The Downey sound-stage was chosen as Paramount needed a large stage to get production underway as soon as possible. The first two levels of the Pit were built there, to complement the rest of the building which would be done with special effects. Downey also housed Destro's MARS base in the Arctic, his legitimate weapons factory in an ex-Soviet state, as well as various submarines interiors, including a SHARC (Submersible High-speed Attack and Reconnaissance Craft) manned by two G.I. Joes.

Six different visual effects companies worked in The Rise of Cobra, the most prominent being Digital Domain, which handled the Paris action, sequences and the opening convoy sequence. For the Eiffel Tower destruction, a special code for depicting how the crumbling metal works was written. To create the digital Eiffel Tower, the technicians had access to the original building plans, and built a digital model so complex that could not fit in a single file. The nanomites used two different proprietary software for their depiction, one by Digital Domain, and another by, which also created tools to generate 3D cloud and sky environments for the aerial scenes. Many scenarios were almost fully developed by computer-generated imagery, such as the landing platform of the Pit, the Cobra ice caverns, and the final underwater battle.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a thrilling movie with all the latest effects & adventures. G.I JOE was a mass enthralling movie which ruled the box office for years & its sequel is creating a widespread craze all over.

Phil Esposito's Rampage On The NHL Record Book

By Ross Everett

Although many of his offensive records have now been left in the dust by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, former Boston Bruins/New York Rangers center Phil Esposito is still regarded by hockey experts as one of the greatest players in NHL history.

A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Esposito was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a teenager. After some time in junior hockey, he was called up to the NHL in'64 quickly earning a spot on the teams top line between Bobby Hull and Marcel Dionne. In'67, Esposito was traded to the Boston Bruins along with Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield.

Esposito began to shred the NHL record book in Boston, prompting Bruins fans to display car bumper stickers that read Jesus Saves; Esposito scores on the rebound. In'69, he became the first NHL player to top the 100 point mark (combined goals and assists) for the season"he obliterated the record with 126 points, which would be the first of six times that hed top the century mark. He topped 100 points in five straight seasons between'71 and'75, missing a sixth straight season by a single point with 99 in'70.

In the'70-71 season, Esposito scored 76 goals to smash the NHL's single season scoring record. That record stood for over a decade until Wayne Gretzky scored 79 for the Edmonton Oilers in'81-82. Gretzky also broke Espositos single season points record of 154. Perhaps the most amazing element of Espositos game was the frequency with which he put the puck on net"Espo had 550 shots on goal in'70-71. No one has since come close"in fact, just last Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals became the first player to come within 100 shots of Espositos mark.

In'75, Esposito was traded with Brad Park to the New York Rangers for Brad Park, Joe Zanussi and Jean Ratelle. By that point, he had been slowed considerably by knee injuries but his experience, intelligence for the game and nose for the puck made him a valuable component of the Broadway Blueshirts offense and he was named team captain. Until the very end of his career, he remained a dangerous scoring threat that all opposing teams were forced to reckon with.

After his retirement in'75, he remained active in hockey. He served as the GM of the Rangers before helping secure an expansion team for Tampa, Florida in'92. Esposito served as the President and GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning until'98. Esposito now hosts a daily hockey radio show on XM Radio, and has even done some acting appearing in a recurring role as a fire chief on the TV series Rescue Me.

Law Bans Biker Colors In Bars & Restaurants. Is This The Last Straw?

By L.J. James

There is a new law in Virginia that will ban Motorcycle Club Colors in Bars. The law, originally aimed at Street Gangs, is causing quite a stir with Virginia Bikers. The law states that Bar & Restaurant owners will lose their liquor license if they allow patrons who wear "gang" related attire such as Club Logo's or Colored Bandannas.

These sort of "grey area" laws are extremely dangerous and a threat to everyone's freedom. Who decides what constitutes "Gang Apparel"? I'm wondering if Boy Scouts are going to be able to eat together at Applebees if they are in their uniforms.

According to news reports, many Bikers and Motorcycle Club Members in Virginia have already begun fighting this law. If a law like this is allowed to stand in Virginia, it won't be long until it is passed in other states across America!

We as Motorcyclists and Bikers (It does not matter what you call yourself) have to realize fast that we are all connected. It doesn't matter what you ride, what State you live in or who you Support, we're all in this together. What effects Me effects you and it doesn't matter what you happen to think of me.

When the local Bar you and your Brothers love hanging out at is told that you and all other members of Motorcycle Clubs can no longer go there or they will revoke the Bars liquor license, What then?

This is no Joke my Biker Brothers, every month there is another new law that is aimed not only Motorcycle Club Members, but all Americans. It seems that every time the Government wants to take away a freedom, they find a way to craft a new law for our "safety". What kind of Country is this turning into when you can't wear what you want and suddenly, your constitutional right to assemble is taken away from you?

Although there are many ignorant people out there that believe Motorcycle Clubs are Gangs, that's simply not the case. Most Motorcycle Clubs are made up of hard working, honest, law abiding, patriotic, American Citizens who enjoy a common bond, Motorcycles. It's what is in a persons heart that determines who they are, not the clothes they wear.

In the past year the government has taken away the Colors of one Motorcycle Club. A law enforcement officer can demand anyone sporting the Clubs logo to forfeit it. The theory is that the loss of the logo strips the club of its "gang identity."

Grant it, it appears that some of the Clubs members may have been involved in illegal activities, but that doesn't mean that everyone who rides a Motorcycle should be punished for it. In fact, less than 10% of this 600 Member Club was even accused of wrong doing.

In addition, the Government and law enforcement agencies have been spending millions of our dollars to influence friends and ex-members of Motorcycle Clubs in an effort to infiltrate these clubs in hopes of catching members doing something illegal. Often, when they find that the Club they've infiltrated is nothing more than a group of Patriotic, Law Abiding Men & Women, they'll fabric wrong doing so that they can justify the enormous amount of resources spent on these Fishing Expeditions.

Just imagine how much better off we'd all be if they used those resources to investigate the Corrupt Politicians, the Corporations that control our Country, Wall Street, and the other issues that are quickly sinking this great Nation.

What I want to know is, what will be the last straw? What's it going to take for us to say enough is enough? We can not fight these Laws and Fight each other at the same time! We need to work together to save what we are, who we are.

The Government has taken away our rights to ride the Motorcycle we want, to wear what we want and now to go where we want! Why are we still fighting each other? When are we going to wake up??

Wedding Photography at Your Wedding

By John Anderson

Celebrating a wedding is probably one of the greatest moments in a person's life. To make it even more special, moments should be captured in pictures. The venue, the visitors, and even the food, can all be immortally captured in photos. Wedding photography and food photography usually go hand in hand, so choosing a person or company to ensure all of these memories are captured can get quite challenging.

Getting a fantastic wedding and/or food photographer is actually quite easy. There are many things to take into consideration, but the fundamentals would be finding out the photographer's experience level, photographic style, price range, and even their personality.

It's extremely simple to know how great your photos will turn out by checking the photographer's portfolio. Their studios usually will display a lot of samples, depending on their specialty. A person or company specializing in wedding photography will of course show a lot of pictures from various weddings, a food photography specialist will display a lot of different artistic food photos, and so on.

Experience and talent are the key, so check the portfolio. Aside from the displays on office walls, photographers usually have "online folios," an online portfolio. These are simply websites that display some of their best work on whatever field photographers are best at. For instance, a wedding photographer's online porfolio will display his or her best work from different weddings: the bride and groom, ceremonies, churches, receptions, and even the food.

Another thing to consider is how much you will need to spend. It is okay to shell a lot of money for such an occasion because it is a once in a lifetime event, but you should know how much is too much. Doing some price comparison research online will give you an idea of the right amount you should spend on a wedding photographer. But of course, quality should not be sacrificed. A package can be cheap, but that doesn't have to mean the pictures will look that way too.

Finally, ensure that the photographer is someone you can trust. The photographer should be someone you can easily get along with. If you are not able to work with him/her because of bad personality, by all means find another.

By doing this, an event photographer is successful in creating memories with the aid of pictures that can be cherished forever.

Several people think that event photographers just come to an event and take photos without much thought. Though, this opinion might befit event photographers who are new to the profession, it does not stand true for an expert photographer, whose knowledge makes him precious. As an expert event photographer, you first have to comprehend the nature and the mood of the event before actually covering it. It is of prime importance to cover the essence and spirit of the event. For instance, it is essential to have an idea of the fine distinctions between the mood of a sports event, a formal meeting, or a marriage ceremony.

As an event photographer, you also should have good knowledge of your camera, along with awareness about the latest digital processing technology. How To Select A Corporate Photographer

By Albert Frank

Every business has its important events, like the opening of a new building, or the announcement of new management. The happenings of most of these occasions need to be distributed to the staff as well as the outside world, for which you need photographs. Taking these images requires event photographers.

Event photography is drastically different from amateur photography or even professional photography in a studio setting, as the photographer does not have any say in the happenings of the event. Capturing an event requires a great deal of talent, and the photographer must be able to handle difficult scenarios. Most importantly, there are no repeat shots for a corporate photographer.

It is needless to say that you have to be very cautious while choosing a corporate photographer to cover a company event. As important corporate occasions are usually held indoors, he must be aware of how to set his camera accordingly. Even an excellent photographer would be of little use if the equipment is not of good quality, so you must insist on top-end equipment.

You must not go for an amateur for an event of any significance. There are many professionals out there to choose from. To ensure that the photographer will do justice to your needs, ask for some samples of his previous work. A professional firm should also be able to provide client references of past work.

Once you have selected a photographer, discuss the details of the assignment with him and make your expectations clear. This will ensure that there is no confusion and will also give you confidence in the photographer's ability of managing tricky situations during the event. There is nothing like a good discussion to put people at ease, and this way you would also be able to build a healthy working relationship with your corporate photographer.

Learn to Harness the Power of the Subconscious Mind

By Jean D Kerr

The mind is the most powerful force in the universe and you should not underestimate the power of your own subconscious mind. Remember that no matter what a person says or does all action originates in the mind. In some instances, the actions of the mind are manifested on a conscious level.

Have you ever done anything throughout your day on complete auto-pilot? Simple tasks that you just get done without thinking about why you're doing them are those controlled by your subconscious need to do them.

Now, how does such an action occur? Perhaps a commercial for a product you disliked appeared on the screen and this subconsciously triggered the reaction to change the channel. Yes, the subconscious mind can have an enormous impact on how we act. That is why it is so important to train yourself to utilize the power of your subconscious mind. Such training can lead to an overall improvement in the quality of our lives we never thought possible.

Through the proper harnessing of the power of the subconscious mind, an individual can truly live out his or her true potential. Far too often we are told about the 'evils and dangers' that lurk in the subconscious. While there is certain value in understanding the dark side of human psychology, only looking at the negative comes with many unfortunate consequences.

So we need to communicate with our subconscious mind to improve our lives. Many people feel that this is too complicated a task to undergo, but really it is simplicity itself by following a few simple steps. Just accept that Self improvement has to start with 'thinking' about it first.

Quite possibly, the simplest way one can guide the subconscious mind it through the power of affirmation. As one would logically assume, affirmation refers to the ability to remind oneself of positive aspects of life in order to achieve a desired result.

Think about a task you really didn't want to begin. You would immediately have begun to feel tired and look for other things to do instead. Inside your mind, your thoughts would be telling you that you don't want to do that, or that you should be working on something else. This is a subconscious stress reaction and it drains your energy automatically in response to a task that is counter-productive to achieving those things you really want.

Using affirmations can help you to find the benefits of each task so the automatic response changes to become positive as you tackle it with new strength. The right affirmations can reinforce in you that you're the right person for the job. No one can do it like you can, and completing that task will lead to bigger and better opportunities.

Affirmations are also used to change bad habits such as overeating or smoking. These affirmations tap directly into your subconscious mind and reprogram that auto-pilot response to more positive behaviors.

There are other means one can use to harness the power of the subconscious mind. Post hypnotic suggestion is a common method that is often used. This process can be done by using a qualified hypnotherapist but self hypnosis is also an option by listening to pre-recorded hypnosis audios.

You might also want to try brainwave synchronization or binaural beats. These are specially created sound frequencies you play through a set of headphones. The frequencies change so you hear different things in each ear. This can synchronize the separate sides of your brain which can allow you to descend into a deep meditation easily. You're able to access your subconscious more easily in this state.

There is evidence that this can actually be taken much further. Buddhist monks for example are able to use the power of their subconscious mind so successfully that they can exhibit what some would call 'supernatural' powers such as levitation and invisibility.

The law of attraction, explained in films and books such as The Secret, works by learning to harness the power inside your own subconscious mind. It is possible to manifest the life you always dreamed of, or the perfect partner or the ideal job.

Quantum physicists are just recently learning that many ancient civilizations already understood their own ability to influence their concept of reality by learning to control their own subconscious power.

The sheer power of your subconscious mind is far greater than most of us realize or understand. You can change your beliefs and your behaviors, but you can also begin to re-shape your entire life and unleash your full potential once you learn to harness the power within yourself.

The Strange Saga of Satoshi Ishii And Dana White

By Ross Everett

It may be a bit of a stretch to call Satoshi Ishii the Michael Phelps of Japan, but not by much. His victory in the heavyweight judo competition at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing was easily the defining moment of the games for his countrymen and was considered by most media outlets the #1 highlight of the year in all of sports.

Ishii himself is also a marketing dream. Hes especially big by Japanese standards with 240 pounds packed on his bulky 511 frame. Not surprisingly, hes tough as nails and a terror on the mat but away from the gym he comes off like an awkwardly cheerful overgrown boy. He definitely seems younger than his 22 years, but gives off the vibe of a nice neighbor boy who youd gladly pay to mow your lawn. Unlike his telegenic American gold medalist counterpart Phelps, who acts as if he spent as much time working on media relations as his backstroke heading up to the Olympic games, Ishii's demeanor is of an athlete who literally spent the bulk of his life in a gym only to emerge and find himself a national hero and superstar. He alternately seems to be having the time of his life at the vortex of a media frenzy as he is somewhat overwhelmed by the attention.

With the ability to offer him the most money and exposure, it seemed almost a fait accompli that Ishii would sign with DREAM and K-1 parent group FEG. Obviously its a good idea to keep your options open in negotiations, so he also reportedly talked to Sengoku parent World Victory Road and Antonio Inokis Inoki Genome Federation pro wrestling group.

Ishii then shocked the Japanese fight sport world by categorically rejecting FEGs offer, saying that it was his lifelong dream to fight in the UFC. While this rationale might sound plausible to a US based fan, its akin to a top college baseball player from a SEC school turning down a big offer from the Atlanta Braves saying that its his lifelong dream to play for the Yomiuri Giants in Japan Central League. It frequently comes a shock to US MMA fans just how low the UFC ranks in the Japan's fight sport pantheon. In MMA, their profile is lower than DREAM and Sengoku, but even smaller groups like Shooto and DEEP.

Ishii then travelled to Las Vegas for UFC 92, with the Japanese media in tow covering his every move. There were countless photo opportunities with Dana White, who spoke of Ishii in glowing terms, along with top UFC stars. Upon his return to Japan, he was repeatedly photographed wearing UFC t-shirts while speaking enthusiastically about Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta and everyone else involved with the promotion. He appeared at the Sengoku card in January addressing the audience from the ring and wearing his ubiquitous UFC shirt; his message was that he was going to fight in America for awhile but would eventually return to Japan.

At age 22, Ishii's got plenty of time to develop as a fighter. His biggest downside risk from signing with Zuffa is financial since hed be lucky to get a fraction of what FEG is willing to pay him. The competitive logic of learning his craft slowly notwithstanding, theres a huge risk in automatically assuming that he can fight for the UFC for a few years and then cash a big check when he returns to Japan as the potential of injury and changing market conditions could seriously impact his market value. On the other hand, it could be a risk hes willing to take given that hes got his celebrity both with the mainstream public and in the judo community to fall back on. Still, its a logical assumption that the goal of all professional fighters is to maximize their income while facing the best competition possible. For Ishii, a move to the UFC defies both components of that axiom.

Theres another very realistic scenario that it was all a negotiating ploy by Ishii. The UFC was likely willing to play along, figuring that their investment of a few plane tickets and hotel suites would be worth the resulting PR surge in Japan. Ishii and the UFC develop a cordial relationship which could be to the benefit of both parties down the road and both sides realized that a long term commitment wasn't the right move at this point.

With the recent revelation that Ishii has broken off UFC negotiations to entertain offers from other parties thats starting to look like the plausible explanation for the once hot and heavy courtship between Ishii and Zuffa. Ishii and the UFC both realized all along that his MMA future was in Japan, but there was no harm in exploring the relationship.

As a postscript to the Ishiis relationship with the UFC, it apparently opened the doors for his move to the US where hell be training with the Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. That alone is a positive for his future development as a fighter, as hell be training with a whos who of professional fighting including the gym's namesake, Randy Couture. Training at a high level facility like Xtreme Couture among such an abundance of talent is a career move thats difficult to second guess.

Tito Ortiz Returns To The UFC

By Ross Everett

According to the old saying time heals all wounds. In the fight game, money"or the potential of it"has the same curative effect. The latest evidence of this is the announcement that Tito Ortiz has patched things up with Dana White and agreed to a new contract to fight in the UFC. Tito left the promotion over a year ago after an acrimonious split with White, though never found a new promotional home that would give him the money and the high profile status that he craved.

After losing to current light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in his last UFC appearance, Ortiz left the company and bounced around doing personal appearances and commentary for a variety of promotions. He had surgery on his back in the process, and now claims that hes back to 100%.

Tito may never regain his championship form as a fighter, but that is of minimal relevance due to one salient fact"people will pay to see him fight. Dana White evoked the same theme in his comments on Ortiz at a Friday press conference in Las Vegas:

"Tito and I have a history that everyone knows. He's still a guy that everyone wants to see fight. He said his back has healed perfectly and he's ready to take a shot at the title. He's one of those guys that people love and people love to hate. We've put all our differences aside, have squashed everything and will move forward, and Tito will retire in the UFC."

To which Ortiz responded:

"Time really cures everything. Dana was a man of his word. Dana apologized to me. We're like boyfriend and girlfriend."

Ortiz indicated that White and UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta came to his home in Huntington Beach, California and made him the proverbial offer he couldnt refuse:

"I'm happy, I'm satisfied, You'll never hear anything about money again.

While neither Ortiz nor White would speculate on a timetable for his debut or his first opponents, sources suggest that he could debut on the UFCs New Years card against Mark Coleman. Coleman is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Stephan Bonnar at UFC 100 in mid July.

To best understand Titos appeal and why the UFC was so anxious to re-sign him, well paraphrase HBO boxing commentator Larry Merchant. Merchant once noted in reference to George Foreman during his 'comeback' that there are many fighters, but very few stars. Like George Foreman, Tito Ortiz is a star. Some love him, some hate him but people pay to watch him fight.

UFC 87 Flashback: Lesnar, GSP Steal The Show

By Ross Everett

The last time that Georges St. Pierre defended his UFC welterweight title, it quickly turned into the low point of his career. Already facing a number of personal issues away from the cage, he looked sloppy and distracted as Matt Serra defeated him by brutal TKO. This time, things were different as GSP brutalized Jon Fitch over five rounds to win an easy unanimous decision. The judges scores of 50-43, 50-44, 50-44 underscored the one sided victory.

After a dominant takedown to open the fight, followed by a barrage of GSP punches it looked as if Fitch wouldnt make it out of the first round. He managed to survive, though generated little offense the rest of the way as the champion had his way with him both on the ground and in standup striking exchanges. Fitch landed enough counterpunches to open a cut near the champions eye, but never even came close to winning a round.

As the final horn sounded, GSP bowed down in front of Fitch in a nice, Muay Thai inspired show of respect. In yet another moment that is thankfully commonplace in fighting and all too rare in other sports, Fitch and GSP sat knee to knee in the center of the cage congratulating each other for over a minute as their respective cutmen worked on their wounds.

And theres very likely not another athlete like Brock Lesnar even within the ranks of fightsport competitors. In his 3rd professional MMA bout the amateur wrestling legend turned WWE champion displayed a brutally effective new fighting style along with stellar patience and cage control as he obliterated tough and highly experienced Heath Herring.

From that point forward, Herring was completely out of the fight though he repeatedly demonstrated his toughness by staying in the fight and not tapping out to strikes as had Min Soo Kim in Lesnars MMA debut. Unlike Lesnars gameplan against Frank Mir in his UFC debut"when he clearly wanted to overwhelm his opponent for a quick win"perhaps the most impressive element of his improvement as a fighter was his patience. There were a number of occasions where Lesnar could have tried and finished the fight by placing himself at greater risk, but took the conservative approach.

Overall, Lesnars performance bordered on amazing"a serious case could be made that he won all three rounds by 10-8 margins, though all three judges scored the fight 30-26. He repeatedly took down and threw around the 64 250 Herring like he was a welterweight, and controlled the fight to such a degree that his opponent didnt land more than a half dozen strikes during the entire fight"and none which were particularly effective.

Lesnars win gives a much needed boost to the UFCs barren heavyweight division. Should Lesnar continue to develop and do such a good job of fighting within his abilities his potential in the sport is limitless.

Opera Glasses, Love, Racism, and Hairspray: A Review

By Jeff Bridges

Hairspray the musical is set in Baltimore, Maryland the year is 1962. Our hero in the musical is is a young overweight girl named Tracy. Tracy has always dreamed of becoming a big star, if and when you attend this musical, make sure you have a front row seat, if you don't you will want to be sure to bring your opera glasses, so as not to miss a moment of this fast-paced play.

As Tracy is watching television one day, she hears that a popular show is going to sponsor a dance contest. Tracy knows that is is her long dreamed of shot at fame. When her overweight mother finds out about her plans, she discourages the idea for two reasons, one is that she worries that people will make fun of her sweet but overweight daughter, and the other is that she thinks the show plays racist music.

Tracy does make it to the audition with permission from her father, Wilbur. While she is auditioning she meets the popular hunk Link Larkin. Get ready to put on your opera glasses as you will want to catch Tracy's eyes light up just as yours may have back in high school. Tracy daydreams that she and Link Larkin will end up together one day. She sings absolutely beautiful songs about her love sick dream. Tracy is awakened from her sweet dream as she does not make the cut to be on the show due to her weight, just as her mother suspected would happen.

Poor Tracy then returns back to school. Her troubles do not end at school. Tracy is then given a detention once again due to her hair being so big that kids sitting behind her cannot even see the chalk board! Hence, you can tell a reason why the musical is given the name Hairspray.

While Tracy is in detention, she meets a nice black boy named Seaweed who is kind enough to teach Tracy some dance steps and hot moves. There is a dance party scheduled for the school and the owner of the Corny Collins Show, Corny Collins himself, sees Tracy's slick moves. He loves how she dances and lo and behold she is chosen to be a dancer on his popular show. This moment will be the perfect time to put on your opera glasses as of course Tracy is ecstatic as this is her big dream!

Tracy gets more good news, Link Larkin is to sing a romantic song to her. Another character, Amber, who is the snobby pretty girl is quite upset. At school Amber does some mean things to Tracy which includes whacking her head with a volleyball and knocking Tracy out.

More things ensue. Tracy and others are invited to Seaweed's mother's record shop. A party is planned for all to attend. The group goes to Seaweed's mother's record shop as blacks cannot go to The Corny Collins Show since blacks are only allowed on the show once a month on a specific day; that day being Negro Day. Tracy gets into fighting for blacks rights. For these intense acts you will want to wear your opera glasses.

Hairspray is a delight to attend, and a bigger delight to hear, it is no wonder it made such a run on Broadway, Remember to bring your opera glasses to catch every last expression, and the wonderful costumes. This is truly a performance to cherish.

Opera Glasses, A Good Way To View All The Action On Stage From Far Away

By Jeff Bridges

You may not want to bring binoculars to catch all the action of a performance on stage so Opera Glasses would be the next best thing. Opera houses built many years ago have balconies that are very far from the stage with cheaper seats. Often times they were such a distance that you could only see figures moving across the stage and forget about seeing faces that is part of the acting processes. Opera glasses would enable those people in the gallery to see much better almost to the point of seeing the facial expressions of the performers. Opera Glasses are not a new item on the market because they have been available since the 50's.

Opera glasses are different from binoculars as they are made to be smaller and some where made not so much to look utilitarian but to look stylish. Some pop up from a flat looking case and are easily carried in women's clutch bags or in suit coat pockets. Others fold so that they can easily be carried around without notice. There are some that mimic those of the past with a single rod attached called a lorgnette, so the glasses can be held to the eyes with only one hand. This folds up as well.

You can purchase opera glasses easily these days. You can get an inexpensive model for about $50 to $100 US dollars but there are those with better optics are much more expensive. Expensive models will be more stylish as well. Antique opera glasses are often much more expensive merely because they are antique and most often much more ornate. Try them out to make sure they give you the magnification you need and are still in operating order.

Many opera houses and theaters have opera glasses for rent and the price for renting is generally inexpensive. If you frequent the opera or the theater often it may be better to own a pair, but if you only go every so often renting may be the thing for you. It is also suggested if thinking about purchasing a pair to rent different types to see which will be more favorable to your liking. Some people like the ones better that are on the long rod and employ the use of only one hand better, while others don't mind using both hands. Some people find they don't even like using them at all.

Opera glasses are different in another way from binoculars. The optical system used is much simpler than that used in binoculars. It is known as the Galilean optical system and based on the system that was invented by Galileo. The view is not as sharp with opera glasses as it is with binoculars but it still enables you to see what is happening on the stage.

China is the major producer of opera glasses today. They usually have a 3 X magnification that is good for a concert hall or big auditorium. Some go up to 5 X but they tend to cost more. Some come equipped with a center focus and others don't focus at all. The ones that do not focus usually have a small LED light that is placed between the barrels for the eyes. It helps you to read the program in dim lights without bothering the person in the seat next to you. People with good vision have no problem with these but if you do wear glasses or contacts you might want to look into the focusing type. There is a mechanism for the focus in the focusing opera glasses that takes the place of the light. You can use them with corrective lenses or without.

Cases usually come with new opera glasses and the vintage type will also have them. Soft cases are available as well as the hard type with a velvet lining. Antique glasses can be made of ivory or cloisonne enamel or they may have jewels attached or be decorated with gold or silver. These opera glasses were made to be elegant although you were not supposed to notice them. Either type make a great gift for those who frequent the opera, ballet or theater.

His 999 years include being able to cancel the housing agreement.

The wedding ceremony is soon to take place between Pinkerton and Butterfly. A lot of Butterfly's relatives will be flying in and coming to the wedding. Butterfly's uncle will not attend the wedding as he is a priest.

Pinkerton of course plans to marry Butterfly however, his true goal in life is to gain the love of as many beautiful women as possible, as he puts it, and he will not be satisfied until he captures the flowers of every shore. For this reason he retained the right to cancel the agreement any month. The time approaches that the stage will introduce you to the elegant Butterfly, have your opera glasses prepared.

Before you get to see Butterfly's beauty, one final part of the opera plays through. The American Consul, who is with Pinkerton, asks him if he loves Madame Butterfly. A yes will not come out of the mouth of Pinkerton, nor could it, for Pinkerton, is simply infatuated with Butterfly's innocence, beauty and charm. He does not love her. Pinkerton then begins to speak of one day having an American woman to wed.

Butterfly finally graces the stage. The wedding of the Officer and Butterfly begins, as Butterfly's family looks on. After the wedding has taken place, we find Butterfly's uncle has broken into the party, he has found out that Butterfly has abandoned her own religion for Pinkerton's by marrying him. Butterfly is crushed, but is consoled by her unloving husband Pinkerton.

Butterfly finally gets over the condemnation and curse that she received from her uncle, and remains happily married to her beloved Pinkerton. Weeks turn to months, and she can hardly contain her joy and love for the man of her dreams, she continues to fall more deeply in love with a man that does not love her back. Pinkerton one day receives notice that he is to go on duty as a naval officer; before he leaves he gives Butterfly money, and promises to return as soon as possible.

Act three opens, to find that three years have passed. Butterfly continues to watch ships coming in hoping every day to see the ship of her beloved husband, in all this time her love for him has only increased. One day she sees the American consul who she has known from the beginning as Pinkerton's friend coming up the path to her home. Excitedly she greets him, hoping for news from her beloved. Unbeknownst to her, Pinkerton has asked him to go to Butterfly to tell her that he has wed another woman named Kate, and would not be coming back. Full of guilt the American gives the news.

Butterfly weeps as she hears the story of betrayal and leaves the room distraught. After a short moment she returns carrying a child, and reveals to the American Consul that it is Pinkerton's. She exclaims with all her heart that her husband could not possibly leave her wife and child for another. After further conversation with the Consul, she accepts that her husband was never truly hers.

What happens next, you will have to find out for yourself, by attending Madame Butterfly. The music in this opera is delightful as it is majestic, the attention to detail, and beauty of the costumes is unforgettable. Make sure you bring your opera glasses so that you can enjoy this opera to the fullest.

How Well Does HGH Pills Work?

By Tom William

Human growth hormone (HGH) is used as a treatment against physical aging but the question is: HGH work? To answer this question for different conditions and different types of growth hormone therapy is to try to navigate a maze. we begin to understand that human growth hormone, a hormone essential for normal people is produced by the pituitary gland. Children and young people as a growth hormone regulates adults, and emotional stability in bone density, blood sugar, fat metabolism and storage, power and endurance are playing a role in regulation.

HGH works, when the treatment of growth hormone deficiency diagnosis in the case is used to treat? Yes, in some way. This is a situation where the use of hormone replacement and probably should - be a grave situation. Many other therapeutic uses HGH, at least in the United States is illegal. Hormones produced synthetically and is managed with regular injections. But there may be missing most of the permanent consequences, such as hormone replacement therapy, a basic health care for patients in the normal state is also planning to return.

Anti-aging HGH treatment that works? In reality, it is good scientific evidence that injecting the hormone extend life, physical health or emotional or cognitive health, strengthen assistance. In fact, the opposite be the case if used in large amounts of hormones. HGH treatment and studies inefficiency aging, high bone density, increased strength younger skin. But changes in the skin, other therapeutic approaches carried out the same power and the injection of bone building and growth hormone are associated with significant side effects of success.

HGH works during the hormone is ingested or injected, instead of being sprayed under the tongue? No, and in this way can not be absorbed by the body's hormones. HGH hormone therapy products include six claims against the real is not only illegal (HGH can be achieved only with a prescription legal), there is the false statements on health.

Alternative health sector has created some novel effects that are looking for its alleged anti-aging HGH treatment to consumers to provide approaches to the problem. These products are intended to increase or pituitary's production of natural hormones or amino acids that can mimic hormones in the body combinations. HGH works when it is delivered? Again, the scientific evidence - that is lost very early, but to say that the products, at least not hurt the case.

Networking Microsoft MCSA Courses Described

By Jason Kendall

If you're about to get certified at the MCSA study level, the latest courses on the market today are CD or DVD ROM based study with interactive components. So if you have a certain amount of knowledge but are hoping to formalise your skill set, or are just about to get started, you will find interactive MCSA training programs to cater for you.

If you want to get into the world of computers as a beginner, you will possibly need to have some coaching before attempting to go for the 4 MCP's (Microsoft Certified Professional exams) needed to become MCSA qualified. Look for a company that's able to create a bespoke package to cater for you - it should be possible for you to chat with an advisor to sort out your optimum route.

It's so important to understand this key point: It's essential to obtain proper 24x7 round-the-clock professional support from mentors and instructors. We can tell you that you'll strongly regret it if you don't adhere to this.

some companies only provide email support (slow), and so-called telephone support is normally just routed to a call-centre who will just take down the issue and email it over to their technical team - who will call back over the next day or so (assuming you're there), when it suits them. This isn't a lot of good if you're stuck and can't continue and can only study at specific times.

It's possible to find professional training packages who provide their students online direct access support 24x7 - including evenings, nights and weekends.

You can't afford to accept less than you need and deserve. 24x7 support is really your only option when it comes to technical study. Perhaps you don't intend to study during the evenings; often though, we're at work when traditional support if offered.

A ridiculously large number of organisations only concern themselves with gaining a certificate, and avoid focusing on what you actually need - which will always be getting the job or career you want. You should always begin with the end goal - don't make the journey more important than where you want to get to.

It's a terrible situation, but a great many students kick-off study that often sounds amazing from the marketing materials, but which provides the end-result of a job that is of no interest at all. Just ask several university students for a real eye-opener.

Set targets for earning potential and the level of your ambition. Usually, this will point the way to which qualifications you will need and what'll be expected of you in your new role.

Look for advice and guidance from a professional advisor, even if there's a fee involved - as it's a lot cheaper and safer to investigate at the start if a chosen track will suit, rather than find out after several years of study that you're doing entirely the wrong thing and have wasted years of effort.

Beginning from the viewpoint that it makes sense to locate the employment that excites us first, before we can contemplate which development program fulfils our needs, how do we decide on the way that suits us?

Since with no solid background in computing, how should we possibly be expected to understand what someone in a particular job does?

Consideration of these areas is important if you need to get to the right answers:

* What nature of individual you are - what kind of jobs you get enjoyment from, and don't forget - what you definitely don't enjoy.

* What is the time-frame for the retraining?

* Where do you stand on job satisfaction vs salary?

* Many students don't properly consider the time involved to gain all the necessary accreditation.

* Having a cold, hard look at what commitment and time you'll make available.

In actuality, your only option to gain help on these issues will be via a meeting with an advisor who has years of experience in Information Technology (and specifically the commercial needs.)

A question; why might we choose commercial certification as opposed to traditional academic qualifications taught at tech' colleges and universities?

Accreditation-based training (to use industry-speak) is more effective in the commercial field. Industry has become aware that a specialist skill-set is what's needed to service the demands of an acceleratingly technical workplace. CISCO, Adobe, Microsoft and CompTIA are the dominant players.

Typically, only that which is required is learned. It isn't quite as lean as that might sound, but the most important function is always to cover the precise skills needed (alongside some required background) - without trying to cram in all sorts of other things (as universities often do).

When an employer knows what areas they need covered, then they just need to look for someone with a specific qualification. Commercial syllabuses all have to conform to the same requirements and can't change from one establishment to the next (like academia frequently can and does).

Cheap Acoustic Guitars - Considerations

By Steve Murray

The main reason why a instrument will cost as much as they do is the materials from which they have been made. Certainly when it comes to stringed instruments like the guitar the better quality ones will have been used wood. But along with wood there are other materials such as graphite and plastic which can be used for making cheap acoustic guitars. The problem with these types is that they will not sound as good.

As you will soon discover those guitars which are not made from wood will not have such a full and round sound as you would have expected. Because of this you may find yourself becoming frustrated and choose to give up learning how to play the guitar altogether. So if you can afford to and have sufficient funds you should invest in a wooden one rather than one of the much cheaper types. Yes you can save money on a cheap one but you will find that you will not enjoy playing it as much.

When you start looking for a cheap acoustic guitar, go for one that has a solid wood top rather than one made from plywood. You will find that the solid wood top give a much richer and fuller tone to the sound it makes. Plus if you can afford to then buy a guitar which not only has a solid wood top but a solid wood back and sides as well.

One such guitar you may want to consider is the Seagull S6. Which is not the cheapest acoustic guitar you can buy, but it is value for the money. It has a solid wood cedar top whilst the sides and back are made using mahogany and it is these which help it produce such a beautiful sound. In fact this is a guitar that even professional musicians will keep, even though they may have several other and more expensive guitars in their collection.

The Seagull S6 will cost around $400-$500, but if you are at all serious about being a good guitarist, you should seriously consider investing money in buying this guitar. Buy by taking a look online you may actually find that you can get some great deals on this particular guitar.

Along with the Seagull S6 there are other types of acoustic guitars which produce a good sound but are slightly cheaper. One of these is the Yamaha F310 which costs less because of the materials used to make it. Instead of the top being made from cedar it is made from spruce, but just like the Seagull S6 the sides and back of the Yamaha F310 are constructed from mahogany. On average you can expect to spend about $150 to $200 on this guitar and is the one that those first starting to learn how to play the guitar will choose to buy.

Another guitar which is much cheaper to buy than the Seagull S6 is the Epiphone DR-100 which you can buy for between $120 and $150. But although it is slightly cheaper than the Yamaha F310 it is actually made using the exact same materials. So the top is made from spruce and the back and sides from mahogany. If you are looking for the perfect wood guitar when learning to play then this could be the perfect one for you. However, you will at some point when you can play it well have to upgrade to another make and model.

Although there are lots of different guitars available which can be purchased for less than $100 these are not the type that you should be buying when learning to play the guitar. The reason being is that you will find that the sound they produce is terrible because of the materials they have been made from. Which as many others have found results in them finding it difficult to play and so decide to give up learning how to play them altogether.

If you are serious when it comes to getting cheap acoustic guitars in order to learn how to play them then you can not go far wrong with getting one of those mentioned above. However, if you still find that you do not have sufficient funds to purchase a new one why not visit your local music or guitar store and see what second hand ones they have. Doing this you will be able to try a number of different ones out and see which one you like the feel of and which feels comfortable when you try to play it.

Broncos Still Undefeated After Win Over Chargers

By Ross Everett

The Denver Broncos are for real. The NFL's most surprising undefeated team certainly answered any remaining doubters on Monday Night Football as they used a fourth quarter surge to put away the San Diego Chargers 34-23. Broncos' QB Kyle Orton had another solid, mistake free game as he passed for 229 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Denver's special teams also excelled, with Eddie Royal becoming only the 11th player in NFL history to return a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the same game.

NFL football sports betting fans that backed the Broncos as +3 road underdogs were rewarded with the outright victory and Denver continued their season opening undefeated run against the pointspread (now 6-0 ATS). The Chargers, meanwhile, have only covered one of their five games this season. The 57 points scored went OVER the posted total of 44'. San Diego has gone OVER in four of their five games this year while Denver went OVER for the first time this season, leaving their NFL totals record at 1-5 O/U.

Royal was virtually untouched on both of his kick returns, a first quarter 93 yard kickoff return and a second quarter 71 yard punt return. After the game, he gave credit to his blockers:

"Man, it was a great feeling. The guys did a great job of blocking. I've got to give them a lot of credit. They opened up the seams and it was a home run."

Despite the rarity of his feat, he said he wasn't surprised that he turned the trick:

"You've got to believe it can happen before you do it. I've got a lot of faith in the guys in front of me, so I wasn't surprised."

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels also praised Royal's blockers:

"I think our guys did a great job of blocking and giving Eddie a chance to get started."

While losing coach Norv Turner lamented his team's poor kick coverage:

"It doesn't matter who you are playing; you give up two big returns on a punt and a kickoff and it makes it tough"

Chargers' QB Phillip Rivers talked about the loss and the team's slow start to the 2009 NFL season:

"It's going to be tough. We have to get over this one quick or we'll find ourselves in trouble in Kansas City because it's a short week."

Denver will get a week off to enjoy their 6-0 start before returning to action on November 1 at Baltimore. The following week they'll host the defending Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football before traveling to Washington, DC to face the Redskins. San Diego will play at Kansas City this weekend with the Chargers a -5 road favorite and the total set at 44.

Understanding The Differences Between CFL Canadian Football And The NFL

By Ross Everett

While football in the United States is associated with crisp autumn days and cool nights, in Canada professional football begins in the summer time. While NFL training camps won't open until mid-summer by then the Canadian Football League (CFL) will be well into their regular season schedule.

Most Americans dont realize that the CFL has a lengthy and storied history. The league itself has been around since'30, and the Canadian Football championship--known as the Grey Cup--has been contended since'09. More recently, American fans are aware that a number of NFL stars got their start in the CFL including Doug Flutie, Jim Kelly, and Jeff Garcia.

While the CFL plays football at the highest professional level of competition outside of the NFL, there are a few differences in the game:

At the most basic level, the football itself is bigger than the NFL ball. It is longer and fatter than the NFL ball. The CFL goal posts are on the goal line, while the NFLs are on the end line at the back of the endzone. The CFL field is also longer (110 yards) and wider (65 yards vs. the NFLs 53.5 yards), and the CFL end zones are 20 yards deep as opposed to 10 yards in the NFL.

CFL teams are allowed to have 12 players on the field at a time, one more than is standard in American football. The extra offensive player is a wide receiver, and on defense they're allowed an extra defensive back. CFL teams allow a team only three downs to move ten yards as opposed to four in the US game--references to a team going "two and out" are common on CFL broadcasts.

A major difference in the scoring is the 'single' which awards CFL teams one point for a kick--usually a punt or missed field goal--that lands in the end zone. This will frequently produce partial game scores of 1-0 or 1-1 that are impossible in the US game.

The rule differences don't end there--CFL teams are required to maintain a certain percentage of Canadian born players on their roster. The idea is that this will protect the unique identity of the game, as well as prevent it from becoming little more than a farm system for the NFL. Currently' of the 40 players on a CFL roster must be Canadian natives.

Despite the rule differences that suggest a higher scoring, more wide open style of play than in the NFL it really doesn't work out that way. Most games end up with a final score in the 40's and have a similar pace to their NFL counterparts. There may be a few individual rule differences, but a strong rushing game and defense are tickets to success in the CFL as in the NFL.

Furthermore, the parity that you see in the NFL where on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team is magnified in the CFL. The primary reason is the rules mandating Canadian native players. I dont think itll offend any Canadians if I suggest that football is played at a higher level in American high schools and colleges. That means that at least 50% of each team is of essentially equal level of talents. Now that may be a bit of an oversimplification"certainly there are differing levels of talent among Canadian players"but the Canadian native rules do serve to further codify the inherent tendency toward parity that you see in most professional sports.

Among the 'non-Canadians' on the team, its also important to note that the CFL doesn't get the highest level US college players. Most with NFL ability are in the NFL, or on a NFL team's practice or developmental squad. There's definitely some American players that are uniquely suited to the CFL game, but the general level of talent is similar to that seen in the Arena Football League.

Despite some major differences, the NFL and CFL have more in common--they're both high level, intensely competitive professional football leagues. Once you understand the rule differences and the unique and fascinating history of the CFL, it is a very enjoyable brand of professional football to watch.

You wont see CFL news on ESPN, since theyre more interested in featuring spelling bees and lumberjack competitions and letting their personalities like Stuart Scott show how clever they are than covering sports. The good news is that the CFL receives extensive coverage in the Canadian press and all you need to do is visit a couple of websites to stay up to date. Each CFL city has their own sports media, and most have pretty good websites. The best one stop shopping can be found at the leagues own and Slam! Sports, which is roughly the Canadian equivalent of ESPNs website and has extensive CFL news, opinions and statistics.
