In recent times many of us lead very busy lives, add to that the reality of the complicated economy that we are all facing and we must all concur that we all want things that will make our lives easier and will also cost less. Films can be an inexpensive and pleasant type of entertainment.

The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe - This is a humorous re-creation of Lily Tomlin's'85 one female Broadway show. Her characterizations run the scope from box woman to juvenile delinquent to New Age Lady, with much of the material in a feminist vein. The show stars Lily Tomlin obviously. (120 minutes,'91)

Mrs. Dalloway - Redgrave is shining as the wife of a British M.P., who on the night of a soiree, thinks back to her early life when she selected between a safe, secure life and a more challenging presence with a man who sincerely loved her. McElhone is a phenomenal equal for Redgrave in the flashback scenes. Cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Natascha McElhone, Rupert Graves, Michael Kitcben, Alan Cox, Lena Headey, Amelia Bulhnore, Sarah Badel, Oliver Ford Davies, Katie Carr, John Sitting, Robert Hardy, Margaret Tyzack, and Phyllis Calvert. Indian Love Call - 15-year-old Arikara (Crawford), his foal, and his becoming a man. Cast includes Johnny Crawford, Jay Silverheels, Pat Hogan, Robert Crawford, Jr., and George J. Lewis. (91 minutes,'36)

Red - Very last film in Kieslowski's "3 Colors" trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired magistrate Trintignant by mistake, then creates a relationship with him and enters his sheltered, clandestine life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of few tangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent. Afurika Monogatari - Guide Sayer crashes his plane in wilds of Africa and comes upon a game preserve. Even old Jimmy is dull. The film was filmed in Kenya. Cast includes James Stewart, Philip Sayer, Eleanora Vallone, and Heekura Simba. (120 minutes,'81)
