Although throughout one long day, the mobster Walken, in fine form measures up his captors and plays on their weaknesses. Well planned piece, with some excellent tale twists and first-rate acting jobs. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Denis Leary, Henry Thomas, Sean Patrick Flanery, Laura San Giacomo, and Brad Garrett. Madagascar: A fun animated family comedy. When Marty the zebra decides he wants to see the world from outside the zoo, the penguins help him escape. Marty is gone, his friend also breaks out to find him and bring him home. Once out, they are captured by well meaning humans and shipped to Africa, to be returned to the wild. They miss Africa, and wind up on the magical island of Madagascar.
Shooter: Retired Marine Corp Sniper Bob Lee Swagger is asked to come to Washington, to help track another sniper that will try to kill the President. What happens to him next is a total shock. The same US government people that he is helping are actually setting him up to take the fall for the assassination. He somehow escapes when he is shot, and is now on the run. He is also ready to fight back.
Malcolm X: This movie chronicles the life African America leader Malcolm X. He was a controversial leader of the black movement in the 1950's and 1960's. He became a Muslim, and then a Muslim leader. He was eventually assassinated in New York in 1965.
Wedding Crashers: John and Jeremy have found out a great way to pick up women, by crashing weddings. John breaks wedding crasher rules, and falls in love with Claire. This severe change will test the strength of John and Jeremy's longtime friendship.
Stalker: Stark, eerie, cerebral tale of a strong personality, who guides eggheads Grinko and Solonitsin through the "Area," a bizarre, prohibited swamp. Extremely slow, although well performed and gratifying. Cast includes Alexander Kaidanovsky, Nikolai Grinko, and Anatoli Solonitsin. (160 minutes, 1979)
